During the lockdown, I came across many posts, jokes and comics on social media. I realised that women have become the subject of sniggers and ridicule during the pandemic, whilst this pandemic has also been used as another method to discriminate and abuse women. I choose one of the ‘funny jokes’ from Facebook and shared the photograph with a group of 20 females to interpret it and share with me their understandings. Unfortunately recognising this photo as violence against women was impossible for most of them and instead they found the photograph a form of violence against men! I decided then to select this photograph and explain every angle of the photo (visible and invisible) through audio over the image.
