Creating these postcards during covid lockdown and the restrictions was a weekly anchor in a sea of days that became increasingly troublesome to differentiate or mark in other meaningful ways. Losing the ability to enter friends’ houses without risking lives was like losing sacred spaces. Sending these images and words to each other through the dark, and receiving wisdom, rage and beauty in return, felt like a radical act – making connection in isolation and sending out howls of resistance into the fracturing world around us.
